Lesson 1:

In this session, we’ll define what a private cloud is, then dig into what is required of the network in order to support it: multi-tenancy, automation and policy-driven resource allocation. We’ll also begin our discussion on how to create a hybrid environment by linking private clouds to public clouds.

What Private Cloud
Means for the Network

Lesson 2:

In this session, we’ll take a deeper dive on how to build out your network for the private cloud in order to provide multi-tenancy, automation and policy-control. We'll discuss virtual infrastructure, physical infrastructure and the potential for using SDN built around standards like OpenFlow. We’ll look at what management and monitoring tools you'll need to make it all hang together, and at how hybrid clouds change the picture.

Lesson 3:

In the final session of this university classroom, we’ll dig into how different types of security play out in a cloud network, ranging from low-level constructs like VLANs and security zones through high-level concerns like identity and access control. We’ll also cover the security implications of linking public and private cloud networks.
